Which vaccinations are needed?
Your cat must be vaccinated against feline panleukopenia, cat flu and feline leukaemia. It must also be microchipped and neutered, both required by law in Belgium.
From April to September, it must also be wormed and treated against fleas, with a certificate stating the product and the date. You leave its vaccination booklet with us on arrival.
What are its days like?
Your cat sleeps in its own room, with spots to climb, hide and rest. During play time, it enjoys the shared playroom and, when the weather allows, the enclosed and secure garden. Soft music and a regular routine help it feel at home.
When it arrives, it spends its first half-day quietly in its room. If you would rather it did not meet the other guests, just tell us.
What should I bring?
- A sturdy carrier in good condition.
- Something that smells of home, so it quickly feels at ease.
- Its usual food, if you would rather it did not change.
- Its medication, if it takes any: we give it on time.
Can I visit before the stay?
Yes, and we recommend it: you will see its room and meet Saskia. Visits are by appointment, from 4:30 to 5:30 pm on weekdays and from 2 to 3 pm at weekends.
What if it falls ill?
At the slightest worrying sign, it sees a vet as soon as possible, with your consent if we can reach you. Sweetnest works with Dr Pascale Pirot, rue Edith Cavell in Uccle, and with Vet&Go for emergencies at night and at weekends. Vet fees are paid by the owner.
